  If you are visiting New York City as a tourist or are a commuter who travels through Grand Central Terminal during the week, you can’t help but be in awe when walking through this magnificent building. Just look up to the vaulted ceiling and you’ll be mesmerized by its beauty. If you’re hungry, there’s lots of great places to eat including the Oyster Bar, which is also a popular tourist attraction. If you only have only a day in New York City, this is one of the places I’d urge you to include on your itinerary!

  The most iconic and history related interesting experiences of my trip to NYC, before visiting I took the time to research the building and understand the history. I was not disappointed. It is without a doubt truly magnificent. The inside as well as outside is something to see. The shops and restaurants in and around cater for everyone. Please, before you visit, go to the website and read about the history, that way you understand more about its involvement with NYC.

  Tourist's dream. Huge terminal for connecting travellers throughout the city and state. Bustling and ever busy, this transportation hub is also iconic and historical. The murals are picture worthy as are the architectural structure. There is also a dining concourse asides the tracks which are labelled for easy direction to the appropriate trains and street exits. There are also large spaces and halls reserved for functions.

  Our tour guide told us that the clock here is the most accurate one in the world, better than the one in London. And why is there a dark hole on the ceiling? Smoking day and night made it happened. Also the four pillars under ground were designed during the war time when wives were separated from their husbands. They needed to have the last greetings before the husbands got on the trains. What a classic design it has! I like it much more than penn station
